A lot has changed in the security industry over the last 87 years, with new technologies allowing us to serve our customers like never before. But one thing that remains consistent at Guardian Hawk Security is our reputation as a family-run business. Starting as Guardian Alarm in 1930, Milton Pierce designed his first burglar alarm in his parents’ basement after a burglary took place at his family’s tailor shop in Detroit. Along with his two sons: Douglas and Richard, who had a true knack for the business, Milton grew the company throughout most of the 20th century, working until three months before his passing at age 95 (although he always said he never worked a day in his life).

Today, the business continues to advance. After growing up in the industry and spending countless hours learning from her grandfather at their daily breakfasts in his office, Douglas Pierce’s daughter Linda decided to continue the family heritage in Florida with her husband Scott. Guardian Alarm of Florida opened in 2004, bringing Guardian Alarm’s tradition of local service and unmatched quality to south and central Florida.

 

Now known as Guardian Hawk Security, the company is a full-service UL security and life safety provider, offering a wide range of installation, service, monitoring, and inspection options for residential and commercial customers. All safety and security systems are designed, installed, tested, and repaired by our certified technicians in Florida. No job is too big or too small, and we guarantee complete satisfaction with each of our products and services. High standards, honesty, and professionalism remain the foundation of the Guardian Hawk team. Linda and Scott live in Lake Worth with their two children and continue expanding the business in Florida, with the hope that one day a fourth generation will join them.
